Sewing, School, Fanfiction

SEWING-
For all my sewing friends out there, opinions please!

For XMas I want a new sewing machine. Right now I have a WalMart Special, aka Brother CS-6000. It's a nice little thing but doesn't have the horsepower to use a ruffler foot, which I desperately want to be able to do. Requirements: one-step buttonhole, able to use ruffler foot, drop-in bobbin. That's it! Okay, some embroidery would be nice but it's not a deal-breaker. Neither is not being able to sew eyelet holes....but lawdy, wouldn't that be nice? I was given a $1,000 limit but there's no need to go crazy... I was thinking more along the lines of $700-800. Thoughts, ideas and opinions...lay 'em on me!

SCHOOL-
School is almost out for the semester. I don't go back until next fall and then I'll be in it for 2 solid years....no summer breaks! This semester has been frustrating because I've noticed so much plaigerism in my (online) World Lit class it's not even funny. Even I was a victim of it...someone used MY work in their discussion. Seriously, wtf? Did you think I wouldn't notice? I've gotten over it, though, because I have 9 points over a 100 in that class...so eat that all you cheating fuckers!!!

*ahem*

May post some of my awesome poetry from the class as deviations.

FANFICTION-
And Found is cruising along well. Chapter 6 is halfway finished. I'm averaging about 4,000 words per chapter now...which seems like a lot to me. I keep getting reviews, alerts and faves (on FF.net) for an Ice Age story called Politics in Nature that I started, like, 8 years ago. So, I may try to pound out something for those lovely fans that have been waiting ever-so patiently.

I did say hi, quickly, because I'd spotted you in the crowd at the Marriott Friday night but my boyfriend was making his way elsewhere so to not loose him I was like, \"I'mCreedsGalBirdyfromDA!CanItakeapic?\" I have a pic of you in my Photobucket album, but a DA smiley ends up in the address for it.

So, I've found a couple of people who are interested, which means we should start thinking about a time and location.

For time, somewhere in the 1-4pm range will probably work best for me. For location, I still have no idea. I'm partial to an indoor location (air conditioning, and my retinas hate sunlight), and not in the Hyatt since it gets so crowded.

Here's a list of a lot of the good, low traffic, meet up and photo-op locations.
